Your album information will be submitted to CD Baby shortly after we have begun manufacturing your discs. Once your album information has been submitted to CD Baby, you will be contacted by them via e-mail. This e-mail will contain your username and password and will outline all of the steps you will need to take in order to begin distributing your album. Your album will not go live on CD Baby's website or on any of their digital partner sites until you have completed your account setup.
Due to higher than usual submission volume and COVID-19 impact on our staff, please allow at least 1-3 weeks for inspection. We recommend selecting a release date at least 6 weeks from the date you submit for distribution to ensure your release date is honored. Please note: anytime you make changes to your title, it takes it out of the inspection queue and puts it at the back of the line.

Once you have completed your account setup with CD Baby, you will be required to approve your album for digital distribution. Once the album has been approved for digital distribution, CD Baby will begin delivering the music to the digital partner sites within 24 hours. After that, the amount of time it takes iTunes to make music available for purchase on their site is beyond CD Baby's control, but they often take from as little as a few days to a max of 1-2 weeks. CD Baby's other digital distribution partners generally post new content for sale on their sites within 1-4 weeks after delivery.
